Privacy Policy

The short version

  • We never sell your data. Not to anyone, not ever.
  • No ads and no trackers. Only functional cookies, to keep you logged in.
  • We collect only what runs your games — your name, email, and a few profile basics.
  • Your email and phone number are never shown to other members.
  • Delete anytime. Email hello@kickup11.com and we remove your data within 30 days.

The full legal version is below, but that's the gist.

1. Introduction

Kickup11 ("we," "us," or "our") operates the Kickup11 platform at kickup11.com. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and your rights regarding your personal data.

2. Information We Collect

Account information: When you join, we collect your name, email address, and the profile details you provide — including your preferred playing positions, skill level, home area (city/metro), phone number (optional), an optional short "pitch" or player bio, an optional self-identified gender (used only to match coed-league roster needs — never required), and whether you mark yourself available as a sub or free agent. An account may also be created for you when a host or captain shares a sub-request or team-roster link and you claim or apply for a spot.

Usage data: We collect information about how you use the platform, including games and watch parties you create, RSVPs, waitlist activity, sub requests and team-roster needs you post, spots you claim or apply for, players you save to a recruiting bench, crews you create or join, endorsements, and login timestamps.

Push notifications: If you enable notifications, we store the technical subscription your browser provides (a device push endpoint and keys) so we can deliver alerts. You can turn these off anytime in your browser or device settings.

City interest: If you ask us to bring Kickup11 to your city, we store the email address and city you submit so we can let you know when we launch there.

Game history: We record participation in games where teams are assigned, including which games you played, final scores entered by hosts, and a count of how often you have played alongside or against other members. This powers features such as win/loss records and "familiar faces."

Communications: If you contact us directly, we retain the content of that message.

We do not collect or process payment information. Any financial arrangements between players occur outside our platform.

3. How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect to:

  • Create and manage your account
  • Display your profile and RSVP status to other members
  • Send game notifications, RSVP confirmations, and sub-finder alerts (by email and/or push) that you have opted into
  • Send magic login links when you request access
  • Contact you in response to support inquiries
  • Improve the platform and troubleshoot issues

4. Sub Finder & Free-Agent Availability

If you mark yourself available as a sub or free agent, your name, positions, skill level, home area, optional pitch/bio, and any gender you have provided may be used to match you with games or teams that need a player, and to make your profile findable by hosts and captains who are recruiting. You will receive email and/or push notifications for matching opportunities. You can opt out at any time by turning this off on your profile page.

5. Information Shared With Others

Other logged-in members can see your name, RSVP status, and a player profile that includes your playing positions, skill level, home area, your optional pitch/bio, game participation stats (such as games played and win/loss record), and how many times you have played with or against them. When you apply for a sub spot or a team-roster spot, the host or captain also sees the pitch you submit, any gender you provided (for roster needs), and the email address you applied with, so they can review and coordinate the spot; a captain may also save your name and profile to a private "bench" to recruit you for future games. Apart from that, your email address and phone number are not shown in your public profile or to the wider membership. We do not sell your personal information to third parties.

We use Resend (resend.com) to deliver transactional emails. Your email address is shared with Resend solely for the purpose of sending you notifications you have requested.

6. Data Retention

We retain your account information for as long as your account is active. If you wish to have your account deleted, contact us at hello@kickup11.com and we will remove your personal data within 30 days.

7. Cookies

Kickup11 uses cookies to keep you logged in and to maintain session state. These are strictly functional cookies — we do not use tracking or advertising cookies.

8. Security

We use industry-standard measures to protect your data, including HTTPS encryption and passwordless authentication (no stored passwords). No method of transmission over the internet is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

9. Children's Privacy

Kickup11 is not directed at individuals under the age of 18. We do not knowingly collect personal information from minors. If you believe a minor has provided us with personal information, contact us and we will delete it.

10. Your Rights

You have the right to access, correct, or delete the personal information we hold about you. To exercise these rights, contact us at hello@kickup11.com or use the contact form.

11. Governing Law

This Privacy Policy is governed by the laws of the State of Michigan. By using Kickup11, you consent to the collection and use of your information as described in this policy.

12. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page when we do. Continued use of the platform after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
